🎧 spotify: direct music sharing

This project was completed at Rehack 2019 — the first ever collegiate reverse hackathon hosted at Princeton University — and in collaboration with my friend Jess Tan.

We were challenged to identify an issue with an existing technology and to redesign a product to make our daily interactions with others more productive, meaningful, and authentic.

We chose to focus on Spotify because of its prevalence in people's lives today. Especially on college campuses, nearly everyone is walking around with earbuds stuffed in, looking down at the ground, and listening to their own music. Music has historically been used as a form of communal emotional expression; we sought to reclaim music as a way of uniting people and to break the norm of using music to avoid others.
